TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read this agreement thoroughly and carefully before booking a Sisterhood workshop or retreat; it contains important terms and conditions regarding the journey you are purchasing including, but not limited to, our rights to postpone, cancel or alter the tour, our cancellation and refund policies, and a limitation of our liability and other important disclaimers. If you make a booking on behalf of other participants, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept these terms on behalf of the other participant(s) in your party. This is a legally binding agreement. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Danish law and any disputes between the parties shall be settled by the Danish courts.

PRICING, INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS
The prices for the workshops, masterclasses, retreats, and creative gatherings are in euro. The prices for the retreats are based on double or single occupancy (depending on what the attendee has purchased) and include the services specified in the daily itineraries, including meals, accommodations, admission fees, and guided activities as stated. Prices do not include any item not specifically listed or in the itinerary, including but not limited to, air and other transportation to and from trip start and termination points; services and meals not listed in the itinerary; all expenses during leisure time including admission fees, meals, and beverages; passports or other travel documents; travel insurance or travel protection (i.e., medical insurance, emergency evacuation, and similar services); airport arrival/departure fees or country taxes; personal expenses; gratuities; and all items of a personal nature.

Unless otherwise specified, prices do not include any local taxes, duties, or fees, including foreign departure, security, port charges, park fees, customs, immigration, agricultural, passenger facility charges, or international transportation tax.

A booking is not final or confirmed until you receive a confirmation from us by email. Early bookings are recommended because our group size and departure dates are limited.

PAYMENT
Our preferred method of payment is bank transfer. The Stripe or Paypal commission saved will be put to good use for more delicious food, wines, snacks, and refreshments :)

ENROLLMENT FEES
Most of our workshops and retreats give you the option of choosing between a single payment (due immediately) or a payment plan, that allows you to pay in three installments. If you select the payment plan, you must pay the initial payment on the day of your enrollment, and then your two other installments will be due on specific dates described in the workshop or retreat presentation. If you opt for the payment plan, you are responsible for paying all three installments. In the event that the second and third installments are not transferred to Sisterhood Retreats’ account (Sisterhood Retreats will always send out at least two e-mail reminders), Sisterhood Retreats can suspend your access to the workshop or retreat.

FOOD, DIETS & ALLERGIES
If you have any food allergies, we will try our best to accommodate dietary requirements. What food we serve will typically be dictated by the country and region, the event takes place. We will be happy to offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options if you let us know about your allergies or dietary restrictions in advance.

CANCELLATION BY YOU AND REFUNDS
Unfortunately due to the involved logistics & upfront costs of the workshops, masterclasses, and retreats, we have a strict no-refund and no-cancellation policy regardless of circumstance. No refunds will be provided for any reason for the unused portion of a trip once the trip begins, including if you leave a trip for any reason or have to be removed from a trip.

The trip price is a package cost and refunds are not available for services not used. If you need to cancel we will happily try to help find a replacement traveler for your spot. If we succeed Sisterhood Retreats will bank 100% of your paid fee as a credit to use for another workshop, retreat, masterclass, or creative gathering less an administration charge of €250 and less any expenses that were incurred by the cancellation (upfront costs of the canceled workshop). If we don’t succeed in finding a replacement traveler (and you don’t either), your investment will be lost.

There are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, including for reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, pandemics, personal, family, or medical emergencies, or any other circumstances beyond our control. For this and other reasons, we encourage you to purchase independent trip cancellation and interruption insurance and travel protection (i.e., travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services).

Sisterhood Retreats is not responsible for expenses incurred by participants in preparing for a trip (eg. nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets, equipment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements pre- or post-departure date. The term applies whether the tour is altered, modified, or canceled by us or by you for any reason.

We strongly recommend you buy travel insurance. Please be sure you can make it and have read the Sisterhood Retreats’ descriptions thoroughly before you register.

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES, AND POSTPONEMENTS BY SISTERHOOD RETREATS
In the rare event that Sisterhood Retreats is forced to postpone a course or a trip for any unforeseen circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Sisterhood Retreats, such as but not limited to, acts of nature, war, labor strikes, pandemics, earthquake, flooding, etc., Sisterhood Retreats will bank 100% of your paid fees as a credit to use for another workshop, retreat, masterclass or creative gathering. You will have the option to travel on your rescheduled trip date or transfer 100% of your booking amount to travel on another Sisterhood Retreats departure.

In some but not all cases and depending on how close to your departure Sisterhood Retreats may have to reduce credit due to advanced payment to suppliers. We will use reasonable efforts to recover the advanced payment and refund the balance when possible. However, Sisterhood Retreats does not guarantee recovery of any or all of the advance payments made, and the use of reasonable efforts to recover these payments will not include the institution of legal proceedings in foreign jurisdictions.

Sisterhood Retreats reserves the right to cancel or change a workshop, masterclass, or retreat at any time due to insufficient registration numbers or illness, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of travelers is judged by Sisterhood Retreats in our sole discretion to be compromised. In such instances, all registered guests may move to another workshop, masterclass, or retreat with available space, or receive a refund. We will contact registered participants by email regarding any changes. If the workshop, masterclass, or retreat, the guest decides to move to, is more expensive, the guest is to pay the difference in rates. Sisterhood Retreats is not responsible for any loss incurred on account of non-refundable or non-transferable air or travel tickets. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

VARIATIONS & LOGISTICS
Our itineraries are designed to take advantage of the best light and the best photographic opportunities. Attendees should allow for flexibility due to changes in weather, traffic, cultural events, local governmental policy changes, or other logistical arrangements deemed necessary by Sif Orellana. The program can therefore be subject to variations, depending mainly on the weather. But don’t worry, there will always be a great plan B as exciting as plan A.

Please make sure you can make it and have read the descriptions thoroughly before you register.

COVID VACCINATIONS
By proceeding with your booking, you are acknowledging that you are or will be fully vaccinated prior to departure. You may be requested to provide proof of vaccination upon arrival. All participants and Sisterhood Retreats’ teachers must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. This means you must have received a full Covid-19 vaccination with the final dose given at least 21 days prior to the first day of the tour. We cannot accept travelers on trips who have received only a partial dose of a vaccine.

COVID DISCLAIMER
While we strive to deliver all aspects of the included itinerary and specific accommodation, due to challenges some vendors may be facing, certain aspects of your Sisterhood Retreat trip may be changed according to the situation beyond our control. In the small chance, this does occur, we will work to offer comparable accommodations and/or activities when possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Individuals will be responsible for ensuring they are able to travel to the destination selected. Countries have various Covid-19 related entry requirements including but not limited to providing proof you are fully vaccinated, taking a test before entry and after entry, etc. You should be prepared to meet all necessary entry requirements. This may also include wearing masks in all public settings. Sisterhood Retreats has the discretion to ask for proof you are fully up to date with Covid-19 vaccination to ensure all of our guests can travel together as safely as possible.

Sisterhood Retreats will not be responsible for refunding any lost trip funds if you have to miss your scheduled trip as you cannot meet the requirements provided by Sisterhood Retreats or the country you are visiting. If you are worried about trip cancellation coverage due to Covid 19, we recommend purchasing or upgrading your travel insurance to a “cancel for any reason” plan.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
All workshop/learning retreat attendees are strongly encouraged to carry trip cancellation insurance as well as medical emergency evacuation insurance. If you catch a really severe flu a few days before departure and you don't possess the strength to travel, you would lose your entire investment in the workshop/learning retreat if you didn’t have insurance. Many things happen in life that we don’t expect, and it’s nice to know you have a safety net to protect you, just in case.

Likewise, if you get injured in a remote place and you have emergency evacuation insurance, help will be on the way immediately and it won’t cost a fortune to transport you to a local hospital.

RESPONSIBILITY
Sisterhood Retreats will provide educational enrichment during workshops, retreats, master classes, or culinary tours. The other providers are solely responsible and liable for providing their respective services. Sisterhood Retreats shall not be held responsible for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government, or by acts of nature, strikes, fire, flood, war, terrorism, sickness, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. The participant waives any claim against Sisterhood Retreats for any such loss, damage, injury, or death. Sisterhood Retreats reserves the right in their sole discretion to accept, decline to accept, or remove any participant on any photo workshop. Sisterhood Retreats reserves the right, without penalty, to make changes in the itinerary whenever, in their judgment, conditions warrant, or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of participants. You have assumed the responsibility to select an activity appropriate to your physical abilities and interests. You are personally responsible for being in sufficiently good health to undertake the activity.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND MEDICAL CARE
Some of our workshops and retreats are physically active, with varying levels of demands and fitness requirements depending on the specific itinerary. By making a booking, you represent that you do not have any physical or other conditions that would create a hazard for you or other attendees or affect other people’s enjoyment of the trip. In the event any medical care is administered to you during the trip, Sisterhood Retreats assumes no responsibility for any such medical care provided to you. You are solely responsible for any and all costs of medical care and related transportation, if any, that are provided to you during the trip.

COVID VACCINATIONS
By proceeding with your booking, you are acknowledging that you are or will be fully vaccinated prior to departure. You may be requested to provide proof of vaccination upon arrival. All guests + Sisterhood Retreats-team members must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. This means you must have received a full COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose given at least 21 days prior to the first day of the tour. We cannot accept guests on our workshops and retreats who have received only a partial dose of a vaccine.
